the ending

·      How did the book end?
The book ended alright, rachel ended the relationship between her and andy. andy was mad at melinda for telling rachel what happened over the summer, so he locked her in her secret closet at school. Andy was pushing on melinda and throwing her around then she stood up and pushed him against the wall with a piece of glass against his neck and told him no. then the lacross team comes and hears them so they opened the door and seen melinda holding the glass against andy. melinda got an A for the grad.

·      Were you satisfied with the ending? Why or why not?
I'm happy with the ending because melinda had overcome not speaking and she sticks up for herself in the end.

·      What is the author’s purpose for writing the book? What is his/her message to you?
the author is trying to tell us that its okay to tell somebody about what happened and that you dont have to fight it on your own, you have friends here to listen. and adults that care about you so you dont have to feel alone.

·      Would you recommend this book to someone? Who would it be?
yes and it would be to any teenager boy or girl.

·      How did you help the group throughout the literature circles?
spoke my mind, and did my part.

#4

·      Write a summary of what is happening in the book.
so far melinda is in bio class, she fainted and had to get stitches the boy keeps messing with her. He keeps whispering things and playing with her hair and she uncomfortable and he knows that. she's trying to tell rachel about what happened to her.

·      Explain your reaction and support it with your own experiences.
i dont like heather because she is fake, when melinda was her only friend when she first came to the school. and heather left melinda to be with the martha's i didn't like that and i honestly just wanted to put my hand through the book and slap her. i've had people do that to me so i know how melinda feels on that one, because people just turn fake for no reason they just do.

·      What can you predict will happen?
i see melinda finding a new friend thats there for her.  and i have a feeling that rachel will listen to what melinda has to say and they will become friends again

·      What questions do you have?
why was everybody so upset with her?
why did her friends bail on her?
why did he go into the closet where melinda was?
